Our Story

Where we've come from

NAC Fellowship grew out of a small online community into a movement of Christian naturist retreats now spanning the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom — all rooted in the same conviction: that we're free to live unashamed before God, exactly as He made us.

NAC Fellowship grew organically from the Naked As Created (NAC) online community that gathered on MeWe. In 2020, that online fellowship gave birth to its first in-person gathering—a couples retreat in Florida—followed later that year by an impromptu gathering of several families at Oak Lake Trails in Oklahoma. What began as a small community of believers discovering the freedom of living unashamed before God soon became an annual rhythm of Christian naturist retreats, family fellowship, worship, teaching, prayer, recreation, and deep friendship.

The gatherings continued to grow and develop. Oak Lake Trails welcomed the community again in 2021, followed by a landmark 2022 meeting at Star Ranch in Texas, where approximately 50 NAC participants gathered for a week of worship, teaching, healing, family fellowship, and recreation. In 2023, the gathering moved to Cypress Cove in Florida and included baptisms, a vow renewal, and a wedding. Star Ranch hosted again in 2024, as a broader group began sharing responsibility for the gatherings. By 2025 and 2026, more than 80 Christian naturists from across the United States, Canada, and even the United Kingdom were gathering together. Throughout these years, men's retreats have brought together both seasoned Christian naturists and men who are newer to naturism and the NAC community from across the country. The larger community has also remained connected year-round through online fellowship, prayer, encouragement, testimony, and friendship.

Today, NAC Fellowship is becoming a shared-leadership movement with a growing vision beyond annual family or men's retreats. We believe God is calling us toward a permanent, Christ-centered place where Christian naturism can be lived out throughout the year—a welcoming, family-friendly community centered on faith, hospitality, recreation, and authentic fellowship. Our hope is to steward such a place for generations, creating a visible expression of the Kingdom of God where people can experience freedom from shame, deeper community, and the goodness of God's original design.

Leadership

About us

NAC Fellowship grew out of relationships that started years before the fellowship itself existed. We're led by six Christian couples who've been active voices in the Christian naturist movement, some for a long time.

Our leadership includes Bunje, founder of the "Naked As Created" group, Philip Oak and Mrs. Phil of achingforeden.com, Jason Stern of renudelife.com, and Matthew Neal of thebiblicalnaturist.blogspot.com. Several of us have also written for or contributed to other sites and communities in this space, including mychainsaregone.org.

Between us, we bring years of experience living as naturists, studying scripture, and helping other Christians work through the shame and confusion that so often surrounds the body. We started NAC Fellowship because we kept meeting people who needed more than a website or a group chat. They needed a community to walk with as they follow Jesus.

Mission

To proclaim, teach, and model the biblical goodness of nakedness within a Christ-centered life, equipping believers to walk in authenticity, freedom, hospitality, and love while cultivating places where the Kingdom of God is visibly lived.

Community

Real fellowship, not performance — families and friends who show up for one another.

Authenticity

Nothing hidden, nothing performed. We come as we are, because that's how we were made.

Grace

Identity rooted in what Christ has done, not in what we perform or prove.

Creation

Our bodies and this earth are called good. We hold both with honor, not shame.

What's Ahead

Closer to Nature. Closer to God.

For six years we've gathered on ground that belonged to someone else — campgrounds and resorts that opened their gates to us a week at a time. We're grateful for every one of them. But we keep driving home from those weeks with the same ache: what if we didn't have to leave?

We believe God is leading this fellowship toward a place of its own. Land with room to breathe — trees, water, open sky, and space enough for families to gather, for children to run, for the quiet to do its work.

What will it be like?

We've had glimpses of it already — a week here, a weekend there. We're praying for a place where it becomes ordinary.

A place to worship

Morning prayer under open sky. Teaching that doesn't end when the week does. Baptisms in moving water. Creation isn't the backdrop to worship here — it's part of how we meet the God who made it.

A place to play

Trails and lake water and long tables. Campfires that run late. The ordinary joy of being a body in God's world, unhurried and unashamed.

A place to belong

Not a resort we visit, but a home we keep — open through the year to families, to men's and women's gatherings, to anyone who needs a few days of being fully known.

Where will it be?

"Go to a place that I will show you."

We don't yet know where it is, or when. We do know we're being called toward it — so we're praying, planning, and watching for the door God opens. If that stirs something in you, walk it with us.
